Hello and a very warm welcome! This is me - Jess, the face behind Jessica Ley Makeup!:) Thank you so much for stopping by, it means the world to me! I am a full time Makeup Artist based in South Yorkshire, specialising in bridal makeup but also offering makeup for all occasions to suit your needs. I am known for travelling far and wide to create the most luxury, flawless makeup looks whilst also bringing the best energy to your most special days. With many years of experience I pride myself on making you feel the best version of yourself.
I began my makeup career in 2017 after realising this was where my passion truly lies. I hold a diploma and a BA Hons Degree in Fashion Design with Textiles, which taught me my love for painting and drawing. Since then I have spent every day learning, creating and dedicating everything to my entire career (probably too much time my husband would say :D!) I truly believe this is the path chosen for me. Those that already know me, know that I love my job to my absolute core, I really care for my clients and I always say even if I only earnt a pound every day for the rest of my life it would still be the only job I’d want to do!! Nothing honestly compares to making other women feel confident in their own skin.
I would say my style is soft glam, creating flawless glowing looks, skin is my thing! I suffered really badly with acne in my twenties so since treating this I have researched extensively in to skincare and makeup products/techniques. Many of my clients over the years have found great comfort in knowing that I truly understand how suffering with acne can make you feel and have put their trust in me to ensure they feel their best on the day.
A little about my home life - I married my best friend Dean in 2022 after 10 amazing years together, whenever I work at weddings you will hear me say ‘its just the best day of your life, enjoy every second’ because it truly is!! We live life to the max and both being self employed we are each others support network, he pushes me to be better a business woman everyday. We are parents to our furry little son, our cockpoo Murphy :D the best/most funny little soul, he is our absolute world and we often say he is practically human haha! In my spare time I love exploring new cities and countries with loved ones, especially hunting down cute little brunch spots because I absolutely love a coffee (especially on a Sunday morning with my two!:)) Family and friends are everything to me. I also enjoy shopping (mostly for makeup of course) exercising and just generally socialising! I’m a self confessed pick’n’mix addict and an embarrased lover of reality tv, derry girls is also another of my faves that has me in stitches!
